Ambassador's meeting with the Chairman of Korea-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group

On January 19, 2023, Ambassador of Georgia H.E. Mr. Tarash Papaskua held an introductory meeting with Chairman of Korea-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group, H.E. Mr. Won-Wook Lee. The parties discussed the issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of developing relations within the framework of parliamentary diplomacy and further enhancing bilateral trade-economic ties. Regarding the opening of negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, Won-Wook Lee pledged his fill support to Georgian ambassador. Tarash Papaskua also asked Korean side to consider the support of resolutions initiated by Georgia within the framework of the UN General Assembly, which includes the resolution on Internally Displaced Persons.
