Meeting with the Chairperson of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA)

On March 10, 2026, Mr. Mikheil Tigishvili, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Georgia to the Republic of Korea, held a meeting with Ms. Youn Young Mi, Chairperson of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), and Ambassador Ki Chang Kwon, Executive Vice Chairman of KOIMA.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on opportunities to further enhance trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Korea. Particular attention was given to the prospects for expanding exports of Georgian agricultural products, wine, mineral water, and meat to the Korean market. The discussion also addressed the potential participation of Georgian companies in the “Korea Import Fair,” the annual exhibition organized by KOIMA in Seoul.

The sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation with a view to further strengthening bilateral economic ties.
