Embassy of Georgia Celebrates Independence Day in Seoul

On May 28, 2026, the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Korea hosted a reception at The Ambassador Seoul - A Pullman Hotel in celebration of Georgia’s Independence Day.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Mr. Mikheil Tigishvili, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Georgia to the Republic of Korea, and Mr. Park Hyung-chul, Director-General of the European Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The speakers highlighted the friendly relations between Georgia and the Republic of Korea, the growing momentum of bilateral cooperation, shared values, and the readiness to further deepen ties between the two countries.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Korea, local government institutions, business circles, academic institutions, cultural and media organizations, and the Georgian diaspora.
