Meeting with Representatives of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea

On June 17, 2026, in Sejong, H.E. Mikheil Tigishvili, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Georgia to the Republic of Korea, held a meeting with Mr. SeulKi Kim, Director for International Policy of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Korea in the field of veterans’ affairs, including the development of institutional ties and the possibility of concluding a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experience and best practices in the areas of veterans’ social and medical rehabilitation, vocational training, and reintegration into civilian life.

The parties agreed to maintain close communication and continue working-level contacts with a view to further advancing bilateral cooperation.
